Mildura Attractions, Culture and History
The best way to see Mildura is through the eyes of the past. Within a short drive you can visit the Mildura Lock and weir 11, the Old Homestead and the Mildura Arts Centre. If you time things right you can see a Paddlesteamer entering and exiting the lock. If you visit the Tourist Information centre check out the Chaffey Trial map and trace the whole region.
For something different, why not try hot air ballooning? Mildura Ballooning show you the vastness of the Mildura region as it unfolds and stretches over the horizon. The beautiful textures from the vineyards and citrus orchards contrast with the incredible Mallee Outback and Mildura City giving you the chance to appreciate a unique and peaceful view from above.
From Mildura, take the family and climb aboard the PS Melbourne. Built in 1912, it is one of the few remaining steam vessels still carrying passengers on the Murray.The gourmet traveller is well catered for with the 1881 PB Rothbury cruising to Trentham Estate Winery, or enjoy the river views on board the Avoca Paddlesteamer, Stefano de Pieri’s latest culinary venture.
