The Corryong Visitor Information Centre offers informative, courteous and friendly advice to visitors to the Towong Shire and the region known as the magnificent “Upper Murray”.

Corryong is located in north east Victoria within the Murray River region. Its proximity to the headwaters of the mighty Murray River and breathtaking Australian Alps, together with our legendary “Man from Snowy River” fame, make it a popular destination for visitors seeking to explore, experience and discover some of Australia’s less commercialised iconic attractions.

The Corryong Visitor Information Centre is the ideal place to stop and revive. It is the place to gather invaluable information on accommodation, dining, touring and attraction options available thus ensuring your experience within our region is not only enjoyable but memorable.

For those travelling between Victoria and New South Wales on the alternate route between Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney (ie. avoiding the Hume Highway) the Corryong Visitor Information Centre provides invaluable cross border information specifically to assist you.

The Corryong Visitor Information Centre services all visitors to the Towong Shire. Explore, experience and discover the Towong Shire’s unique wilderness areas, lakes and rivers. Waters that run fast, cool and fresh – perfect for fishing and canoeing and white water rafting.

Explore thousands of kilometres of bush tracks that lead to plains covered in wild flowers or mountain tops with majestic and inspirational views. The area is steeped in pure golden history – the place that was once home to the famous legend, Jack Riley, the “Man from Snowy River” – now interred within our local cemetery.
