THE FLYING DOCTOR ROWATHON on the Murray and Darling Rivers
07 Oct 2017
The 26th Annual Flying Doctor Rowathon is a marathon rowing event (82Km in a day) held on the Darling and Murray Rivers from Wentworth District Rowing Club (WDRC) and it raises funds for the Royal Flying Doctor Service. Crews will row from WDRC down to the Murray and up stream to Coomealla Golf Club where they will have morning tea and perhaps make crew changes, then row back to Wentworth District Rowing Club for lunch, following which they will row up the Darling to Bob Hill’s landing for afternoon tea and then return back to Wentworth District Rowing Club. The rowing can be watched from the foreshore in front of the rowing sheds or at various river access locations along the Darling and Murray Rivers.
