Welcome
Once Australia’s largest inland port during the late 1800’s, the Port of Echuca is an Authentic working river port. Located just over 2.5 hours north of Melbourne, Port of Echuca is located on the banks of the Murray River, in the historic Port Precinct of Echuca.
Home to the largest collection of Paddle Steamers in the world and the oldest wooden hulled paddleboat still operating – The P.S Adelaide.
You can board P.S. Alexander Arbuthnot and P.S. Pevensey for a special one hour cruise on authentic steam paddleboats still in their original configuration.
Uncover Echuca’s Rich History at Port of Echuca!
Open 9am – 5pm daily, Port of Echuca is the perfect place to uncover Echuca’s rich maritime and cultural history, through the Wharf Walk.
Port of Echuca’s authentic paddlesteamers offer one hour Murray River Cruises and depart from Echuca Wharf daily at 10.15am, 11.30am, 1.30pm, 2.45pm. (other cruises maybe available on school holidays & public holidays)
Free Admission includes all day Museum entry /Evans Brothers sawmill display/ Steam shed display/Wharf Walk and train platform train and carriages.
Ticketed Guided tours are scheduled most days of the week at 11.30am and 1.30pm
Port after Dark tours runs several times a week. Contact us for more details.
Group bookings welcome – special rates available.
Tread the boards on the great redgum wharf. Experience the chuff of steam engines and timber mills and feel the eerie past in our historic buildings.
