Welcome
The Riverland is home to a remarkable network of wetlands and waterways meandering through national parks and internationally recognized reserves.
You have 3 great options for really experiencing this unique ecosystem:
- Hire a kayak, canoe or “sit-on-top” to do your own exploring.
- Join us on a relaxed Guided Tour through the wetlands.
- Overnight canoe camping – one night or as long as you like. We can provide most things for your expedition – guided or self-supported.
Basic canoe skills training is always available at no extra cost.
Our kayaks and canoes are very stable. No previous experience is necessary.
About Us
Canoe Adventures is located central to the Riverland, in Berri, and is owned and run by long term Riverland residents, Kym and Karen Werner. They both grew up enjoying fun in the sun and the water – so much a part of life for Riverland kids. After a while away for study and work they returned about 30 years ago and have enjoyed raising their kids in an area that offers so much adventure in beautiful natural surroundings.
Canoe Adventures is their way of offering that fun and adventure to anyone and everyone.
They offer Canoe Hire, Guided Tours and Canoe Camping – something to suit all tastes.
Kym has over 25 years experience in volunteer youth work, including as a scout leader. Kayaking and hiking have long been part of his preferred recreation.
Karen has 35 years experience in two of the world’s most challenging and rewarding roles – a teacher and a mum.
They look forward to helping you enjoy our beautiful Murray River.
