Our unique Captain’s Cottage is available for hire on weekends. The property’s original farmhouse was once home to Captain Bill Drage, one of the River Murray’s last paddle-steamer captains. We have sympathetically restored the buildings with consideration and authenticity. It is ideal for 2-5 people who love history, nature, free access to kayaks and trails and appreciate the quirkiness of having amenities in rustic out-buildings. Within minutes of Renmark-Paringa, our property sits on the Murray River with easy creek access. The Captain’s Cottage is 350m from the Murray River, consisting of the original farmhouse and its out-buildings. Hire includes: From 12 noon on Friday to 3pm Sunday (extra nights on long weekends) Unlimited kayak & canoe use with easy access to kayak trails https://www.captainscottage.canoetheriverland.com/
